Hi Buddies,
Welcome. Now, we are going to see how to answer the questions asked by someone you meet. Let’s start with simple questions.
• If he asks “Who are you?”, you can say your name or your relationship with someone.
• For example, “I am Ram” or “I am Sam’s Brother” or “I am Rahul’s son”.
• If he asks “What are you?’ or “What do you do?”, you have to say your profession.
• For example, “I am an engineer”, “I am a business man”, “I am a student”.
• If he asks “How are you?”, you have to say the state or how you feel.
• For example, “I am good/great/fine/terrific/okay/not bad…”
• If he asks “How is your day?”, you have to say how you feel about that day.
• For example, “So far so good”, “Good/Great/Wonderful”, “Bad/Lousy/Not good/Boring”
• If he asks “How is your life?”, Please say something positive. It projects yourself as an optimistic person to the other.
• For example, “Life is wonderful/scintillating/interesting/superb/learning new things everyday/beautiful…..”
• If he asks “How is your work?”, the above rule applies. Make yourself passionate about your work. Say something enthusiastic. “I love my work/ It is going good/ Cool/ Fantastic/ Sometimes hectic but I like it/…”
• If he asks, “How is your family?’, say something nice. “Good/ Cool/ Great/ Sensational/ Terrific/……’
• If he asks, “What are your hobbies/interests/pastimes?”, say about it. For example, “I love reading books, listening to music and writing articles/ I play cricket, collect stamps and watch TV/ I like to watch cricket, Gardening and Browsing internet/ Cooking, Sleeping, Sitting idle, Meditation…..”
• If he asks any general questions like, “Will it rain today?”, “Do you think India will win the world cup?”, “Do you like Politics/ Cricket/ Yoga/…?” you can answer in a single word with “Yes or No” and you can continue to speak about it.
Okay, we have learnt how to answer some basic questions. Please use it while you speak. If you have any other basic general questions, please feel free to ask me and we will discuss it too. Till next article, Peace!
